Quick Focus Reset
11/28/2025
When we stare at screens for too long, our focusing muscle (the ciliary muscle) can spasm or lock up, leading to temporary blurred vision. This "Quick Focus Reset" is designed to snap your eyes out of that fixed state and restore clear, flexible vision in just a couple of minutes.
1. Lines
Start by stretching the eyes to break the static stare.
Instructions:
- Look up, down, left, and right.
- Stretch your eyes gently to the periphery.
2. Slow Blinking
Calm the eyes and re-wet the surface to prepare for focusing work.
Instructions:
- Close your eyes slowly.
- Keep them closed for a second.
- Open slowly.
3. Focus Near and Far
This is the core exercise for resetting focus. It forces the ciliary muscle to relax (distance) and contract (near), restoring its flexibility.
Instructions:
- Focus on a finger close to your face.
- Switch focus to a distant object.
- Switch back and forth rhythmically.
4. Slow Blinking
End with slow blinking to soothe the eyes after the active focusing work.
Instructions:
- Perform a few more slow, deliberate blinks.
- Your eyes should feel refreshed and your focus clearer.
